On October 3, 2021, a victim was taking a break from mowing his lawn, in the 2200 block of Gulf, when he noticed his weed eater was gone. The victim checked his security video and saw that a newer model white Ford passenger car stopped behind his residence, the driver exited the vehicle and stole his weed eater.    MPD believes this thief is responsible for other lawn equipment thefts on the west side of Midland and they need your help identifying this subject.

Several of the items stolen were expensive and unusual materials. The estimated value of the stolen items is over $20,000. Midland PD and Midland Crime Stoppers need your help in identifying 2 males that robbed several victims at gun point in the 500 block of South Madison.

On August 4, 2021, the victims were outside of a residence doing construction, when two suspects walked up to them, pointed their guns, and demanded their wallets and cell phones. The victims cooperated and gave them what they wanted. Both suspects ran westbound from the location into the alley and got into a White newer model Chev Tahoe.

 Suspect 1 is described as:  white, or Hispanic, male wearing a dark t-shirt and jeans. Victim stated the suspect possibly had a tattoo on his neck. He was wearing white shoes and had on a mask.

Suspect 2 is described as: tall, light skinned white or Hispanic male wearing a green hoodie and dark pants. The male had a gun in his hand.

On June 29th, 2021, Midland County Deputies responded to Aegis Chemical Solution located at 2200 Market St. in reference to a Theft.  The complainant stated that between June 3rd and June 28th, nine company trucks were parked in front of the business. Upon inspecting the trucks, they discovered that the catalytic converter had been stolen from six trucks.   The total value of the theft is approximately $21,600.

On August 21, 2020, deputies responded to Metro Equipment located at 12808 W Interstate 20 reference a business burglary.  Between 3:20 a.m. and 4:10 a.m., an unknown suspect drove onto the property in a red 4-door flatbed pickup and cut the pipe fence in front of the business where equipment was kept on display.   The suspect then hooked up to a trailer that had a Kioti tractor on it with a front-end loader, Bush Hog mower w/Bush Hog box blade attachment.  The property is valued at over $30,000.

On June 2, 2021, at approximately 2035 hours, a 15-yr old male was walking in the 5000 block of Andrews Hwy and was struck by an older model white Ford F150.

It is believed that the white F150 will be an extended cab with a white headache rack and a toolbox in the bed. It was also observed that there were several large items in the bed of the truck. It is also believed that the vehicle will have damage to the front grill. The actor vehicle was last seen traveling south on Midland Drive near Cuthbert.

On May 17th, 2021, Midland County deputies responded to 6003 WCR 123 in reference to a Theft.   Upon arrival, deputies contacted the complainant and supervisor of the company ( Fehr ).    They noticed that a 2011 Yellow CAT Model Number 304D valued at over $20,000 was stolen from their yard.  The suspect or suspects also attempted to break into and steal other heavy machinery without success. The Midland County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division is currently working on some leads to identify the suspect or suspects involved.

Midland Crime Stoppers and the Midland County Sheriff’s Office need your help solving a Burglary.

 

On July 31st, 2020 Deputies responded to 12406 W. Hwy. 80, Ruhnke's Xtreme Cycles about an alarm. Upon arrival, deputies observed the front glass of the building to be shattered and a Maroon Harley Davidson partially pulled out of the business from the showroom floor. Surveillance video collected shows the suspect prowling around the business and then shooting multiple times into the building, shattering the front glass before gaining entry. We need your help solving a hit & run pedestrian fatality. On Saturday, February 13, 2021, at 10:15 p.m. in the area of Loop 250/Holiday Hill Rd, the victim, Tabitha Garneau, 34 yrs old, was found lying in the roadway.
 
It is believed that between 10:13 p.m. – 10:15 p.m., an unknown vehicle was traveling south in the inside lane of the 3400 block of N Loop 250 when it struck Tabitha as she attempted to cross the main lanes of travel.
 
Midland Police advised that they are looking for a female driver of a red possibly Chevrolet pickup in relation to this fatal crash who they believe to be a witness to the crash, and they are trying to identify her to gain further information. The video of the witness truck is at approximately 10:19 p.m. traveling south on Loop 250 crossing SH 191.
 
If you know the driver of this truck, police are trying to see if she may have more information. Or if you have information on the hit & run suspect, please submit an anonymous tip. Your tip may be the one to help solve this case for her kids and family.

Midland Crime Stoppers and the Midland Police Department is asking for any information in reference to drive-by shooting that occurred on the 500 block of South Ft. Worth early Saturday morning on March 13, 2021.

Around midnight, officers responded to 306 South Terrell in reference to a gunshot victim. The officer’s noticed a Hispanic male inside the residence with a gunshot to the head. The victim was alive but unresponsive. The victim was taken to the emergency room.

During the investigation, it was found that the victim and his friend were leaving a residence on the 500 block of South Ft. Worth when someone drove by and shot several times at the residence. At the time, the victim, who was conscious, did not know he was hit and left the residence to run an errand.  Minutes later, his friend noticed the victim’s shirt was bloody and asked if he was hit by the drive-by shooting from earlier. The victim then drove back to South Terrell and called 911.

On January 21, 2021, at approximately 1:05 a.m., Midland County Deputies responded to a Burglary at the Quick Track convenience store located at 13920 W. Hwy 80.

 

Upon arrival, Deputies observed that the front glass door was shattered and entry had been made into the store. Video from the store shows a suspect wearing a black hoodie and gray sweat pants with "Addidas" on the left pant leg, gaining entry into the store through the front door and stealing approximately $3,200 worth of E-Cigarettes and Jewel Pods.

On October 6, 2020, around 4:00 a.m., a pickup with two occupants drove into the AES Logistics property located at 1806 Cloverdale and loaded 12 semi tires with rims in the back of the truck. Then they drove up and hitched a 2020 enclosed gray trailer bearing Louisiana license plate J732756. Inside the trailer was a 2012 Polaris ranger and hunting equipment. The total amount these thieves stole was over $31,000.

On August 23, 2019, at approximately 9 am, deputies responded to the 4100 block of East County Road 63 in reference to a medical call where a male was found unconscious. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, Richey D. Stewart, in the sleeper of the semi-truck and determined he was deceased with a single gunshot wound to the chest area. Investigators are currently working this case as a homicide.
